Emma began training at the age of three years old, in styles including ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, some tap. Based originally in Kansas at Bates Dance Studio for 15 years of her life, she has performed both recreationally and competitively, receiving several convention and competition scholarships (NYDA, Rainbow, Hall of Fame), including a national win as a soloist. she later obtained a small job posing as a flapper girl performer for FLYAA, a business upporting and honoring retired war veterans. She continued to train on her own during her collegiate years, taking classes at Empire Dance Academy, online classes from CLI Studios, Ann Lacy School of Dance and later returning to choreograph some for her home studio (BDS). Passionate for teaching performers that dance is more than just a difficult sport...but a gift we are given to express emotion and connections we can't always express with words, she is now based in Kansas City, at MelRoe’s School of Dance.
