Our Dynamite Company Competitive Dance Program here at MelRoe's School of Dance is a separate program from our Hip Hop Competitive Program and Tumbling Competitive Program. Still representing our studio throughout the company season, this program has separate requirements and the average MelRoe’s student is NOT required to be a part of our competition teams. Interested dancers are able to audition at our annual company auditions held in August. We also offer recreational and introductory dance classes.
Our Dynamite Dancers are our competitive group of dancers, which are auditioned on a yearly basis. (auditions in August) This group is split up between level of experience and age. Separated into six different groups, the company represents our studio at competition season in March-May and performs at various events throughout the year.
Our “Holly Wood” themed production recently took 1st Place Runner Up at the Talent on Parade Summer 2017 Nationals in St. Louis, MO.
The Petites are our youngest group in the Dynamite Company. Honing in on beginner level basics of jazz and tap, this team competes a competitive tap and jazz routine throughout our competition season.
The Rising Stars are our another beginner level group, but have mastered the basics of tap and jazz movement. Class typically moves faster than our Petits focuses on developing their dance ability and skills.
These dancers are at the intermediate level placed on the team. Instructors focus on jazz technique skills to prep them for the Shining Stars team.
We are so excited to introduce our newest team to in the company! These dancers are also at the intermediate level placed on the team. Instructors focus on jazz technique skills to prep them for the Shining Stars team.
The Shining Stars represent the intermediate/advanced level at our studio. Intructors hone in skills to prep for our Elites – the advanced team.
Our Elites represent the highest skill level at our studio. These advanced dancers typically range from ages 13-18. The Elites team competes a competitive jazz and tap routine throughout our competition season from March-May.
