Brenna Skinner was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas. She began dancing at the age of three and started competitively at the age of nine. Her professional training includes ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary/lyrical. While in school, she was a Hutchinson High School Saltshaker (Dance Team member) all four years and a captain her Junior and Senior year. Brenna continued her education at Hutchinson Community College where she danced on the team as a Dragon Doll Captain for two years. 

Miss Brenna started teaching and choreographing routines at 16 and saw many successes early on. Judge’s choice for intensity, choreography, emotion/entertainment, and overall high scores are just a few of her many achievements. She has been a guest Choreographer for 2015 Hutchinson Follies Theater show, Hutchinson Community College Dragon Dolls Dance Team, Hutchinson HS Theatre Dept, as well as the Hutchinson Middle School 7-8 Dance Team.

In 2015, Miss Brenna became the youngest head coach for the HHS Salthawk Dance Team and led the team to victory for 9 seasons. She has taught at several studios across the state of Kansas and prides herself in being a well-rounded instructor. She enjoys teaching a variety of ages and loves to share her bursting passion for dance. Brenna believes every student is unique and instills lifelong lessons that go beyond the studio walls; Her mantra is “practice makes permanent, not perfect.” She is excited and grateful to be welcomed into the MelRose Dance Family!!
